Hail Sengol Nandi why fail real nandis

 Hail SENGOL Nandi !!!!

Why fail real Nandis ???

On 28th May 2023, Indian Government led by the Prime Minister made a historic move to bring back the SENGOL to the lime light after 75 years of Indian Independence from the British.

The Sengol, The sceptre, is a symbol of righteousness and it was a practice to give the SENGOL from the previous King to the Next King by the Guru in Chief of that Kingdom. This was practiced by all Tamizh ( Tamil ) Kings and queens, which includes Pandiya, Pallava, Chera and Chozha dynasties. In Chozha Kings, as they were saivaites, who considered themselves to be the representatives of Lord Siva, and ruled their kingdoms in the Name of Lord Siva and hence only Saiva Adheenams, The Pontiffs of Saiva Mutt, anointed the rulers as a mere staff ( in Tamizh - word Thandam means a stick ) or as a tool and executed all the functions as that of the decisions of Lord Siva only.

This is simil
ar to Bharatha of Ramayana, keeping the foot wear of his elder brother, Rama, on the throne and ruling it.

This SENGOL, when held by the King or queen, on their hands, consistently reminded them, that they are merely a rod or the stick, and execute the power given to them, without fear or fervor or favor to anyone and had to uphold righteousness.

They added sanctity to the Rod by adding the symbol, a Nandi, a bull on which Lord Siva travelled to rule the world. Nandi, as Saivites believed as a constant witness to their actions to ensure righteousness.

The PM, did the right thing by bowing down - prostating before the SENGOL in front of 21 Saivite Adheenams and carried the sengol with great reverence and installed it next to Lok Sabha speaker's Chair.

Well, showing reverence to the Nandi, The Bull is great. But in reality , day today life, How are we treating bulls ?

The Govt of India, has earmarked several crore Rupees only to produce female calves by sex sorting of semen derived from the BULL. This is being carried out in all states.

Already we had raised this question in our previous post https://sakritease.blogspot.com/2023/03/male-not-needed.html

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi can verify with the 21 saivite adheenams about the practices of treating Bulls in the erstwhile Chozha Kingdoms. Till 20th Century, there used to be "Kovil Kaalai ( Temple Bull ) " in every village temple. These bulls are allowed to roam free in villages and impregnate many cows of that village in the natural mating process.

Honourable PM, in your rule, if you prevent the birth of Male Calves to be born in this Land, How will be the dharma or righteousness can prevail ?? That too of a native traditional breed, native to that region have to roam around, then only this Land will get back its Traditional Virtues.

is it enough if we live a symbolic life with token gestures ??

Then will it not be sufficient to keep statues of Yours and other political leaders be kept in that new building and declare ourselves as Vibrant democracy ??????

In the Rama Rajya too, righteousness or dharma is assessed by allowing the Horse to move freely across the Kingdom.

Respected Saiva Adheenams, please ensure in all the temples managed by your Holinesses, Temple Native Bull, scheme is implemented in full spirit and the Temple bull without any ropes or strings are allowed to go around the villages.

Even the PM calling for introspection of Farmers and adopting organic farming is not possible without Country Bulls and cows.

Treating SENGOL as walking stick & Treating Nandis as mere symbols cannot revive the culture. Needed Course Correction. Loving all the creatures and ensuring peaceful co-existence is the fundamental of Righteousness / Dharma.
