The Natural Life sciences farm was recently fenced with solar system.
We resisted the urge to have the farm fenced for the last three years. we wanted to have live natural plant fence. But our farm was continuously invaded by local goats , cattle & wild boars, deer, rabbits etc...
All the saplings planted & all crops sown were eaten away by many animals both bred by locals & wild ones.
We have been requesting shepherds personally to stop sending their goats ( Mainly the Velladu variety ). But they used to reluctantly tell us that if you fence it , our goats may not enter. Without alternative options to grow our crops & trees, we have now gone for solar fencing of the farm.
Now after few days of solar fencing, shepherds are complaining that goats are getting hit when they walk closer to the fence. We have retained the natural live fence closer to the fence as an extra precaution. Still the shepherds who are bit lazy to guide their goats are grumbling.
Everyday many of our farms are getting raided by these raised goats, cows. Some of the farmers complain that the cows numbering about 200 nos are freely roaming from a nearby village 10 kms away. quite often the farmers have to be awake throughout night to guard their farm.
What a kind of life for farmers ? Raising a crop itself a great challenge & selling it good price is another great challenge. How farmers can sustain in this kind of environment ? This is the basic reason for farmers quitting farming in many villages.

We have installed shirdi sai baba idol on the farm on the need for divinity to continually bless us in this spiritual endevour.
May the dream of Farmer Dr. K.Sathiyawageeswaran of having a herbal garden for his medicines frutify even 30 years after he left his mortal coil to be present in the form of nature in this divine land.
